Serial killer Levi Bellfield has ‘admitted to student’s murder’ in 1999 ‘in written confession’

Levi Bellfield has ‘admitted’ to a 19-year-old student’s murder in a ‘written confession’ and is set to be quizzed by police again, it has been reported.

Bellfield, 54, is known to have killed at least three people including the highly-publicised disappearance and murder of Milly Dowler, 13, French student Amelie Delagrange, 22, and Marsha McDonnell, 19.

In April 1999, a 19-year-old student, Elizabeth Chau, left Thames Valley University and was caught on CCTV walking home along the Uxbridge Road near Ealing police station. She was never seen again.

Her sister, Bich, has never given up hope of being reunited with her sibling. She said: ‘We want Liz to know that we love her and miss her very much.’

Now, The Sun reports Bellfield has written a ‘signed confession’ to killing Ms Chau, ‘bundling her in a van’ and also detailing ‘where she is buried’ as well as ‘admitting five other murders’.

He is understood to have handed in the confession to his solicitor Theresa Clark in March this year. Ms Chau’s family reportedly declined to comment.

Theresa Clark told the publication: ‘I have passed it to the police. He is likely to be interviewed under caution.’

In his confession, Bellfield is said to have confessed to the murders of 17-year-old Jessie Wilson in south west London, Sarah Spurell, 23, in Hastings in 2004, and Sonia Salvatierra, 26, in Twickenham, west London.

Scotland Year launched an appeal for information on Elizabeth Chau’s disappearance in 2012, 13 years after her disappearance, offering a £15,000 reward.

In March this year, 54-year-old Bellfield got engaged to a regular female visitor at HMP Frankfield, where he is serving a whole-life tariff.

News of his proposed nuptials with the woman, who is in her 40s, sparked outrage when they were revealed last year, and Dominic Raab has vowed action to stop it happening.

The Justice Secretary is set to unveil his new Victim’s Bill in the coming weeks, which would ban people serving whole life terms getting hitched behind bars.

This has put the Government on a collision course with Bellfield, who is said to be boasting that his fight against them is ‘costing me f*** all’.

Bellfield, who is serving two whole-life terms for the murder of 13-year-old Milli, well as Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22, has demanded prison bosses bend to his request to get married.

A letter sent on his behalf by law firm Carringtons claims the delay in approving his marriage request is ‘unlawful’ and is a breach of the 1983 Marriage Act and the European Convention on Human Rights, The Sun reports.
