Conservative political commentator Steven Crowder dropped the bombshell on his popular podcast this week that he and his wife, Hilary, were ending their marriage.
Steven, 35, revealed on Tuesday that his 36-year-old wife, who he wed in August 2012, filed for divorce back in 2021 and added ‘this was not my choice.’
‘I have been living with a proverbial boot on my neck for going on years now,’ the YouTuber said on his Louder With Crowder podcast.
‘Since 2021, I’ve been living through what has increasingly been a horrendous divorce.’
So what do we know about the more private Hilary (née Korzon)?

Hilary is a Michigan-born interior designer who gave birth to the couple’s twin children Magnus and Charlotte in 2021
She is a ex-sales manager turned interior designer who was born in Michigan, according to The Sun.
Her alma mater is Michigan’s Calvin College where she took political science before graduating in 2010.
The couple lived in Texas and share two children together, twins Magnus and Charlotte, who were born in 2021.
Steven shared an Instagram in August of that year revealing the happy news with two photos of the then-newborns: ‘You guys get ONE post regarding the next generation of Crowders.
‘Mrs. Crowder and I have agreed that our children will not be in the public eye until they’re old enough to make that decision their selves.
‘But considering that they won’t even look remotely the same two weeks from now… Behold Magnus and Charlotte Crowder!’
Throughout the years, Steven has also shared numerous photos of her and them together as a couple, including a photo of Hilary, who reportedly has Guillain-Barré syndrome, in a hospital bed in June 2020.
‘Has been a really difficult couple weeks, but I can’t complain. I’m pretty damn grateful to have kept our business open during the most turbulent economic period of our lifetime, that my wife is able to get swift and effective treatment for what’s been a pretty big scare…,’ he wrote at the time.

They practiced abstinence until their wedding day
While working as a contributor for Fox News, Steven penned a piece about how he and Hilary waited to have sex until they were married.
And he said it was a choice that raised eyebrows.
‘Let me preface this column by saying this: my wife (I have to get used to saying that) and I not only waited sexually in every way… but we didn’t shack up as live-ins and most importantly, we courted each other in a way that was consistent with our publicly professed values,’ he wrote.
‘Feeling judged? I couldn’t care less. You know why? Because my wife and I were judged all throughout our relationship. People laughed, scoffed and poked fun at the young, celibate, naive Christian couple.
‘We’d certainly never make it to the wedding without schtupping, and if we did, our “wedding night would be awkward and terrible,” they said.’
But it seemed like the haters were wrong as Steven revealed their wedding night was ‘perfect.’

YouTuber says he stills loves his ex-wife despite their ‘horrendous divorce’
On his podcast, Steven said he had been dealing with their divorce for ‘years’ now.
‘I loved a woman so much that I married her,’ he said.
‘A woman who, despite all of this, I still love as the mother of my children and she wanted something else for her life.
‘That’s not my choice, she simply wanted out and the law says that that’s how it works.’
The pair married on August 25, 2012 after three months of engagement.

Steven added that he and Hilary decided to keep the divorce private for the safety of their two children.
‘In all this, one thing I wanna be really clear about is certain. True north here is that my children are blameless, completely without fault, and so we decided to resolve these issues privately as it’s in their best interest both emotionally and physically to do so,’ he said.
The YouTuber is best known for his recurring segment on his podcast called ‘Change My Mind’ and wider YouTube channel, where he has six million subscribers on his podcast, and 1.21 million on his secondary channel Crowder Bits.
The commentator is estimated to be worth $20 million.
His YouTube channel reportedly earns him $80,000 a month with ad and viewership revenue.
