Morrisons unveil ‘Scandi chic’ capsule collection

From our home décor to our dinner plates, the British obsession with all things Scandinavian shows no sign of slowing down.

And Morrisons has become the latest retailer to jump on the bandwagon, with a capsule collection comprising ultra-stylish homeware inspired by our Northern European neighbours.

Hot on the heels of upmarket interiors brands, the supermarket giant’s ‘Scandi chic’ offering is modelled on stylish minimalism but with purse-friendly price tags starting at just £2.50.

Morrisons are so confident in their new range, they believe their products can rival designer wares that cost almost twice as much. So can you tell which is which?

The 40-piece collection includes a bamboo and linen table light that is a staggering six times cheaper than the luxury version.

Forty pieces will be included in the Morrisons Home ‘Scandi chic’ capsule collection, each inspired by modern designer labels such as BoConcept, Conran, Heals and Skandium.

Designers have used cottons and linens, woods sourced from acacia and bamboo, with tableware made from clay ceramic, glass and marble.

The range comes in a Scandinavian palette of natural tones, including whites, greys, and blacks – with splashes of charcoal grey and sulphur.
