Fancy being paid to watch TikTok? Marketing company is offering $100 an hour to tune into the app
A company is looking to hire three ‘professional TikTok watchers’ who will earn up to $100 per hour to tune into the app.
Influencer marketing company, Ubiquitous, is advertising for a number of different roles which comprise of watching TikTok for 10 hours and being paid $1000 (£800) in total.
While watching, candidates will need to help identify emerging trends on the app by filling out a simple document of recurring videos and themes on the platform.
Describing the job online, the company wrote: ‘The TikTok Watching Job is back—and this time, it’s better than ever. We are selecting not one but three professional TikTok Watchers who will get paid $1,000 each. You probably already watch TikTok—why not get paid to do it?’
Applications are open now and will remain open until 31 May.

The last time the company advertised for a similar role, more than 50,000 applied.
The company simply lists three requirements for the role, including someone who is over the age of 18, with a TikTok account that is familiar with the platform, with an eye for trends.
And according to the job advert, there are also a number of perks to the role.
As well as being paid $1000, the description continues: ‘Once your professional TikTok watching is complete, we’ll ask you to post on the social media platform of your choice to tag us and talk about your experience.
‘The chosen candidates will also help us to discover emerging trends by filling out a simple document to note the recurring trends they spot.’
And though it’s not technically a requirement, applicants who tweet out why they deserve the job and tag the brand will receive priority consideration in the selection process.
Speaking to LadBible, Jeremy Boudinet,, Vice President of Growth, said: ‘Absolutely anyone can apply as long as they have a TikTok account.
‘We’re not looking for an expert or a TikTok connoisseur, we’re just looking for someone who uses TikTok fairly frequently and has an active social media presence of their own.’
And it’s not the first dream job to have emerged in recent days. Earlier this month, Southern Comfort launched a nationwide search to fill ‘the summer job of a lifetime’ – and get paid to party all summer long.
The leading drinks brand is seeking applicants to visit some of the summer’s hottest events in Ibiza ‘generally live your best life at bars and events across the UK’.
They say the ideal candidate must be ‘best known for being the life and soul of the party, unafraid to be themselves and always bring the good times in any occasion, from fancy festivities to family get-togethers’.
The plan is for the successful applicant to visit Ibiza Rocks and Bongo’s Bingo and other party venues and share their experiences on social media.
The firm however advises applicants to read the small print saying the role has ‘just one non-negotiable catch’.
The job’s ‘terms of fun and conditions’ state that the successful candidate will have to dress up as a Southern Comfort bottle at key events during their tenure.
