Chunks of ice that tore a huge hole in the roof of a California home may have fallen from a plane passing overhead.
The ice crashed through roof tiles and dry wall in a home in the Los Angeles suburb of Chino on Saturday night.
It left a gaping hole in the second-story bathroom ceiling and large chunks of ice were found scattered in the bathtub.

Homeowner Brandon Blanchard, who described hearing an ‘explosion’, believes the ice could have come from an LAX-bound airplane.
‘I’m wondering what’s going on, I don’t know what’s happening,’ Blanchard told ABC7.
‘Once I settled down, and I saw the ice, I think it had to fall from the sky. What’s in the sky? Airplanes!’

The homeowners, who have filed a police report over the incident, put the chunks of ice in bags after cleaning up the mess
He added that the bathtub may have stopped the ice from tearing an even bigger hole.
Blanchard has filed a police report over the incident.
He is currently dealing with his insurance company and says the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating to see which planes were in the area at the time.
