Dennis ‘INTERNETHULK’ Hawelka has passed away at the age of 30.
Hawelka was involved across all sorts of games in the esports industry, including World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Overwatch, and League of Legends.
In Overwatch, he founded the IDDQD team, a successful organisation which was eventually acquired by Team EnVyUs.

After ending his playing career, Hawelka then moved into coaching. He worked for Lazer Kittenz and Team Rogue, and eventually ended up at Team Liquid.
Liquid’s Overwatch team disbanded earlier this year, and since then he had been working as head coach for the League of Legends team.
Steve Arhancet and Victor Goossens, owners of Team Liquid, announced Hawelka’s death in a statement on Twitter.
‘Dennis became part of the Team Liquid Family back in June when he started coaching our Overwatch team. He impressed everyone so much during this time that, after we disbanded the Overwatch roster, we hired him as our LCS head coach.

‘He moved to Santa Monica while we prepared for the next LCS season. In these past few months, Dennis was part of our day to day as much as we were part of his.’
They then asked fans to respect the privacy of Hawelka’s family, but have set up an address people can send their messages of support.
There has been an outpouring of condolences across social media for Hawelka and his family.
