Serena Williams’ daughter becomes ‘youngest two-team owner in pro sports’ after buying LA Golf Club

Who needs the Glazers! Serena Williams’ 5-year-old daughter Olympia is ‘youngest two-team owner in pro sports’ after snapping up LA Golf Club – adding to portfolio that already includes Angel City FC

Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia has become the proud owner of her second professional sports club – at the tender age of just five.

Olympia – full name Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr – was announced as the co-owner of LA Golf Club by her entrepreneur dad Alexis Ohanian this week – as he posted a sweet snap of the elementary student hitting a golf ball on a pristine green.

The five-year-old already part-owns women’s soccer franchise Angel City, also based in Los Angeles. Co-owners at the club also include Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman and Christina Aguilera.

Ohanian explained that she’s not even the youngest co-owner, as her yet-to-be born sibling – due to arrive in the summer – will also be involved in running the high profile golf club.

‘Olympia is the youngest owner in professional sports (@weareangelcity) and is now the youngest 2-team owner in professional sports.’

He added: ‘She’ll be joined by her future sibling’.

Williams and Ohanian are currently expecting their second child together.

Three years ago, Serena announced that her daughter was a ‘Proud Owner Angel City’ showing shots of the then two-year-old Olympia with a soccer ball.

Actress Natalie Portman and a number of high-profile partners currently help fund the women’s sports team.

Angel City shares its 22,000-seater BMO Stadium with LAFC, the current MLS cup holder.

Portman’s recent Netflix docuseries, released in May, details Angel City’s first season in the NWSL – where they finished a respectable eighth place in the standings.
