And Gemma Ward has stepped out for the first time since the horror incident on Thursday, as she attended the Fashion Laureate Awards in Sydney.
Breaking her silence on the horrific incident, the 29-year-old, who currently live in Byron Bay with her family, said she won’t be deterred from returning to the Avalon area where the crime occurred.

‘I love Sydney so there will always be a place in my heart for it,’ she told the Daily Telegraph.
The publication reports that Gemma, her husband David Letts and their two children could possibly move back to the Northern Beaches area in the near future.
Last month, heartbroken Gemma sold her beachside property less than a month after her tenant Lanell Latta was stabbed to death inside.
The supermodel paid $1.6 million for the two-bedroom home in Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
She had plans to renovate and extend the beach shack with her husband David, but sold the home only four days after advertising began.

Located on a 1000 square metre block, the home was pre-approved for plans by architect Atelier Haefeli to turn it into a dream house, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Opting to sell after the murder which shocked the small beach-side community, she accepted a pre-auction offer of $1.65 million and did not make a profit.
The property is perched on a hill on Marine Drive, surrounded by trees and with access to Tallow Beach.

Gemma was leasing the property to Lanell Latta, 50, before she was murdered there in September.
Meanwhile, Gemma cut a relatively demure figure at the fashion awards on Thursday night, wearing in an electric blue sweater by Dion Lee, tied in the middle with a matching fabric belt.
She matched this with a pair of simple black culottes and a pair of strappy sandals.
