Whitney Cummings jokes fellow comedian Matt Rife is her expectant baby’s father and he responds: ‘I got her last egg!’
Just two days after announcing her pregnancy, Whitney Cummings joked who the father was.
Cummings, 40, took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a glimpse at her baby bump and first sonogram image.
‘In these pix I am with child. And there’s a baby in me too,’ she teased in the pic, where she was playing with one of her rescue dogs in the pool.
While she did not name the baby’s father in her announcement, the comedienne responded to a TMZ tweet on Tuesday stating, ‘Father is @mattrife please start this rumor.’
Rife played along with the joke, quote-retweeting her tweet, adding, ‘This is true! I got her last egg!’

The Whitney star did not reveal the identity of her baby’s father — though she most recently dated veterinarian, Alex Barnes, in 2021.
She was previously engaged to advertising executive, Miles Skinner, but they called off their engagement in 2020 after two years together.
Earlier this year, the Two Broke Girls actress revealed on TODAY that she had frozen her eggs and that she ‘was going to try this year to get pregnant.’
‘I have all the time in the world to have biological children, so there’s no rush,’ she told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
She continued: ‘I did freeze my eggs. They have a beautiful beachfront in Redondo, California. They’re on better real estate than me.
‘I do want to get them out before the sea level rises and they flood, but I was going to try this year to get pregnant.’
She also took to her Instagram story where she shared more glimpses at her growing belly — admitting that her ‘pants haven’t fit in weeks.’
She then uploaded a close-up image of her sonogram, pointing out that her baby may be destined for stardom as it appeared it was ‘already holding a microphone.’

Matt: Back in May, Rife was the guest on her Good For You podcast where she revealed that she’d taken a pregnancy test
Back in May, Rife was the guest on her Good For You podcast where she revealed that she’d taken a pregnancy test.
She told Rife that the results did not come back as positive or negative but, instead, the ‘book’ symbol emerged.
If a pregnancy tests results in a ‘book error,’ that means that an error occurred during testing and another would need to be performed.
She did not provide any more insight on her pregnancy journey ahead of Tuesday’s reveal.
