Romelu Lukaku re-asserts that he has NO plans to move to Saudi Arabia and instead wants to stay at Inter Milan – after Saudi Pro League officials make a second offer to the Chelsea loanee
Romelu Lukaku has re-asserted that he has no plans to move to Saudi Arabia as he awaits a new offer from Inter Milan.
The Chelsea striker has been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League amidst their European top-flight recruitment drive, which has seen them sound out a moves for a number of the player’s team-mates at his parent club.
N’Golo Kante confirmed a move to Al-Ittihad on Tuesday evening, bringing an end to his seven years in the capital, and deals to bring Eduoard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Callum Hudson-Odoi to the Kingdom are believed to be in the works.
After a season on loan at Inter Milan, a question mark remains over the future of the 30-year-old, who is keen to remain in Serie A.
But Lukaku has been clear that he has no plans to leave Europe after recieving a second offer from Saudi Arabia, and will instead fight for the chance to remain in Milan.

Speculation that the No 9 could make a crosstown move to AC Milan were quashed by Lukaku’s lawyer, who confirmed that there were ‘no talks ongoing’ with the Rossoneri.
Instead, Lukaku’s interest lies in fighting for his place at the club where he won the Scudetto in 2021, and from which he made the ill-fated move back to west London.
Chelsea are thought to be interested in including a player in any deal with the Milanese outfit, with sights first focused on goalkeeper Andre Onana.
However, with the Champions League finalist also being sounded out by Manchester United, Chelsea have reportedly switched their attention to the Neroazzurri’s highly-rated midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Discussions between the two clubs remain ongoing, but Inter’s president Steven Zhang made Lukaku’s position entirely transparent in remarks made last month.

‘Romelu loves Inter, that’s very clear,’ Zhang said. ‘He’s great guy but he’s under contract at Chelsea.’
‘We have to wait and speak to Chelsea to make Lukaku’s future clear’.
The Blues are more likely to favour a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia for their then club-record signing as they seek to boost their coffers ahead of June 30 in a bid to mitigate their £600m spending spree over the last two transfer windows.
The west London club will have to offload a number of their players this summer to ensure they can be active in the transfer window whilst continuing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
