Inter Miami ‘have a 70 per cent chance of signing Sergio Busquets’ as David Beckham-owned side look to convince midfielder to join former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi
Inter Miami reportedly have a 70 per cent chance of signing Sergio Busquets.
Busquets is set to become a free agent when his Barcelona contract expires next week and Inter Miami are looking to sign the midfielder in a deal that would see him link up with his former team-mate Lionel Messi.
According to ESPN, Busquets’ move to Inter Miami, who are part-owned by David Beckham, is edging closer.
Another departing Barcelona player, Jordi Alba, could also head to Inter Miami this summer.
Busquets also has offers from Saudi Arabian sides Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr but is said to be leaning towards joining Inter Miami.

Busquets, 34, has spent his entire career to date at Barcelona and has made 722 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2008.
He has won a wide array of trophies, including three Champions Leagues, nine LaLiga titles and seven Copa del Reys.
Messi, who is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Inter Miami, also received an offer from Al-Hilal.
Former World Cup winner Busquets would join Lionel Messi and Josef Martinez in becoming one of three ‘franchise players’ at the MLS club. This allows Miami to spend limitlessly beyond their salary cap on the designated players – a rule that began when Beckham joined LA Galaxy.
Barcelona were eager to keep Busquets but that proved to be a difficult aim given their financial difficulties.
