Gal Gadot is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: ‘This is unbelievable. I am so grateful’

Gal Gadot is riding high on the success of Heart of Stone – which she produces and acts in and has been given a green light for a second film.

And now, she’s got even more reasons to celebrate. She’s going to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024.

Gal took to her official Instagram account to share the incredible news. In an emotional video clip she recounted how she found out about the star.

‘Hey everyone, It’s me here and I was just doing press for Heart of Stone and then I get a phone call from my husband saying the Israeli press had been calling to congratulate him for my Hollywood star and he called to ask about it and I had absolutely no idea what was going on,’ she started.

‘So we called my publicist and apparently I’m receiving a Hollywood star. This is unbelievable. I am so so grateful and thankful and humbled. Thank you so much to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for choosing me,’ she gushed.

‘This is my class of 2024. Thank you thank you thank you. This brings so much fuel to the fuel I already have to continue doing what I do,’ she concluded.

Back before Gadot signed on to star as Wonder Woman in the 2017 Zack Snyder film, she was ready to throw in the towel in Hollywood.

She was sick of moving her family all over the world to follow her dreams of stardom and sick of being rejected for role after role after role for a myriad of reasons beyond her control including ‘not being womanly enough’ or ‘not British enough.’

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said: ‘This profession, the rejection, ooh dude, it’s tough. I had so many almosts, and another camera test … and another role, and another role … and I was like, telling my husband, “I’m not sure how long I can take it, dragging my family to Los Angeles, doing this.”‘

And then Zack Snyder called her to come in and read for a role – but she didn’t know what it was. She did it and went back to Israel to finish shooting an Israeli movie and had every intention to quit acting afterward.

‘We were in Los Angeles—I got a phone call from Zach Snyder, who wanted to audition me for this secret role. I was like, “Ok, sure … I’ll do that,” she said.

Six weeks went by and she forgot about it. And then her agent got the call.

She booked the role of Wonder Woman and it came with a $300,000 payday.
