Cricketing legend Ricky Ponting and wife Rianna sell stunning seven-bedroom mansion in Melbourne
Ricky Ponting and his wife Rianna have sold their Melbourne bayside mansion which was listed for $16million.
The former Test captain, 48, dropped a whopping $9.25million on the Brighton estate in 2013 after it was originally built in the 1920s.
Boasting private access to the bay, the cricketing great said he was ‘thrilled’ to sell the opulent home to a ‘lovely family’, reported Domain on Friday.
With gorgeous water level views from the top level, the beachside house comes with a tennis court, cinema and swimming pool for tenants to enjoy.
Situated in the same suburb Shane Warne resided in for years, the luxury property features seven bedrooms and a sprawling living area overlooking the terrace.

After sitting on the market for 30 days, it’s unclear how much Ricky sold the home for, but it’s understood the deal was made by Forbes Global Properties.
The sale comes just weeks after Rickey and Rianna forked out more than $20million for a six-bedroom Toorak mansion.
Among the litany of features include wrought-iron staircases, marble-topped kitchen surfaces, a luxury pool and tennis court.

Hosting guests won’t be a problem, with the expansive property on 1400 square metres.
The house purchase isn’t the first time the Ponting’s have dipped their toes into Melbourne’s elite property market.
Additionally, they own a ‘weekender’ at Portsea, on the Mornington Peninsula, which they bought in 2019 for $3.51million.
The home sits just 50 metres away from Fishermans Beach and features an outdoor fireplace plus a tennis court.
