Ryan Gosling cut a casual figure as he arrived into his native Canada to promote the Barbie movie on Wednesday.
The Oscar-nominee, 42, who plays doll Ken in the film, wore a tan t-shirt, light-wash jeans and a denim jacket as he strolled in Toronto.
The Notebook star also wore a white ball cap, sunglasses and tan shoes as he pushed his black roller bag and carried a large duffel bag through the airport.
The La La Land actor is in the midst of promoting his highly anticipated movie Barbie, which co-stars Margot Robbie, 32, as the famous 12′ tall fashionable doll and premieres July 21.
The father of Esmeralda, eight, and Amada, seven, with partner Eva Mendes, 49, hails from London, Ontario, which is 120 miles away from the Canadian province’s capital.

Quite the change: Ryan plays iconic doll Ken in the blockbuster, set for release on July 21
On Sunday, Ryan, Margot and the rest of the cast of Barbie premiered the film in Los Angeles.
The film is set to be released on July 21 and the first review just hit newsstands.
Time Magazine’s Eliana Dockterman praised the performances of Margot and Ryan, writing that the movie is a ‘fun yet self-aware romp with shades of Clueless and Legally Blonde.’
‘Both Barbie and Ken go on quests of self-discovery, and that’s when things get really interesting,’ she wrote, adding, ‘Ryan Gosling nearly steals the show.’
The movie trailer’s tag line: ‘If you love Barbie, this movie is for you. If you hate Barbie, this movie is for you,’ was added on to by Margot, who said: ‘If you feel indifferent about Barbie or haven’t thought about Barbie in years, this movie is also for you.’
The review also called the film’s musical numbers a cross between ‘Grease and Singin’ in the Rain.’
In the film, Barbie World is inhabited by a whole cast of Barbies, not just Margot’s, and they come in all shapes, sizes and ethnicities.
Issa Rae, 38, plays President Barbie. She told Time that the entire point of the plot is to portray a world in which there isn’t just one ideal Barbie.

‘My worry was that it was going to feel too white feminist-y, but I think that it’s self-aware,’ she said.
‘Barbie Land is perfect, right? It represents perfection. So if perfection is just a bunch of white Barbies, I don’t know that anybody can get on board with that.’
And that diversity extends to the actors that play the various Kens.
While Ryan plays the classic blond himbo, Simi Liu checks in as another Ken in the upcoming film.
