Screen star Zoe opted for a make-up palette of natural hues and opted for some dazzling jewellery for the event.

Marco wore a black suit with loose fitting trousers and a pair of unique chunky brown shoes.

Zoe was seen gently untangling his long blonde hair before the pair headed into the main venue.

It comes after Zoe reacted to the film Avatar 5 being pushed back to 2031, with the star joking: ‘Great! I’m gonna be 53 when the last Avatar movie comes out.’

Disney made the rather surprising move earlier this month by pushing a number of release dates, including the remaining three Avatar sequels.

Avatar 3 was pushed one year from December 20, 2024 to December 19, 2025, though Avatar 4 was pushed three years from December 18, 2026 to December 21, 2029 and Avatar 5 shifted another three years from December 22, 2028 to December 19, 2031.

Given that it’s rare to schedule any movie more than four years in advance, the shift was the butt of many jokes around Hollywood, with Avatar star Zoe even getting in on the fun.

Saldana took to her Instagram story on Wednesday, sharing a headline about the release shift, along with a joke.

‘Great! I’m gonna be 53 when last Avatar movie comes out,’ Saldana said with a wide-eyed emoji.

She added, ‘I was 27 when I shot the very first Avatar movie,’ along with a bespectacled emoji.

Saldana plays Neytiri, one of the Na’vi warriors in both the 2009 blockbuster Avatar and its highly-anticipated first sequel, 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water.

Producer Jon Landau took to Twitter after the announcement was made, offering some context to the release date shift.

‘Each Avatar film is an exciting but epic undertaking that takes time to bring to the quality level we as filmmakers strive for and audiences have come to expect,’ Landau began.

‘The team is hard at work and can’t wait to bring audiences back to Pandora in December 2025,’ he concluded.

The first Avatar followed Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paraplegic Marine who is sent on a mission to the distant moon of Pandora.

He becomes one with the Na’vi and falls in love with Neytiri (Saldana), becoming conflicted about his mission and his love for Neytiri and her people.

The film earned a then-record $749 million domestic and $2.7 billion worldwide, which is now at $2.9 billion worldwide after numerous re-releases, and still stands as the highest-grossing movie ever globally.

Then 13 years later, director James Cameron returned with the long-awaited sequel Avatar: The World of Water, which also set the box office ablaze.

The sequel earned $684 million domestic and $2.32 billion worldwide from a reported budget of $250 million.

Disney also pushed the new Star Wars movie from December 2025 to May 2026, and Disney added another movie in the franchise for December 2026.

The studio hasn’t announced details on either untitled production at this time.
