The Australian actor won the Crystal Globe during the opening ceremony of the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
The 59-year-old delivered a spirited speech before posing up a storm with his statuette on the red carpet.
His American girlfriend looked stunning, beaming as she and Russell made their way into the venue.
