Camila Morrone attends closing ceremony of Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival

Camila Morrone was the picture of glam at the closing ceremony of the Nouvelles Vagues [New Wave] at the International Biarritz Film Festival in France on Saturday night.

The Daisy Jones And The Six star, 26, wore a black and silver knit dress that reflected the light and was slightly see-through.

The bodice featured thin straps holding the dress up and the fit and flare style of the dress fell to mid-calf.

She wore a pair of full-coverage black panties under the dress and slipped her feet into a pair of silver sandals with ankle straps.

Her dark hair was parted in the middle and teased at the crown to fall in voluminous waves.

The glamorous look was the polar opposite of the Instagram post she shared earlier in the day of her attempting to breakdance at the film festival.

The model was a member of the jury of the film festival and joked in the caption of her breakdancing attempt: ‘Was not invited to be on the jury only for my “jurying” abilities. Swipe for inspiration. Insert caption ideas below.’

In the video, the ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, wore a pair of high-waisted, light-wash jeans with a white T-shirt, a red blazer and black ballet flats.

She flailed about on the floor in a hilarious attempt to duplicate the moves a professional break dancer had just thrown down.

Despite her lack of skill (and coordination), she gave it a whole hearted try and giggled the entire time she was attempting the difficult skills of breakdancing.

Camila had her breakout role in Daisy Jones And The Six earlier this year, but it is far from her first acting gig.

She previously co-led the 2018 stoner comedy Never Goin’ Back, and she starred in the dark 2019 drama Mickey And The Bear, both of which received strong praise from critics.

She was also previously in the news for her four year relationship with the Wolf of Wall Street star, which came to an end last summer.

Camila is the daughter of two Argentinian actors and never aspired to follow in their footsteps.

‘I saw [my parents] struggle their whole lives to be financially independent actors, and seeing them go through that, I was kind of turned off to it,’ Camila told the LA Times.

‘There was so much angst around acting, and it was such a topic of conversation – never knowing where your next paycheck is going to come from. I thought: ‘I’m going to go to college. I’m going to have a normal 9-to-5 job.’ And of course, I ended up exactly like them.’

And she’s gotten great reviews for every role she’s taken on. Her critically acclaimed performance in Mickey and the Bear got her compared to Jennifer Lawrence.

‘Initially, it’s like the highest form of flattery,’ she told Refinery29. ‘Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best actors of my generation. But then it settles and you’re like, “Wow now I have to follow that up.”‘

‘I feel like there is pressure now — you give a performance that people respond to, and they’re like, “Okay, well now what are you going to do? Let’s see if you can keep this up.”‘

And her career is on the rise. She’s starring in the upcoming films Marmalade and Gonzo Girl.
