The woman struck and killed by a passing SUV when she tried to flag down cars after running out of fuel on a freeway has been identified.
Ebony Storm-Somerville, 26, died from her injuries on the Kwinana Freeway, south of Perth, after being run over around 10.40pm on Thursday.
She and a female friend were traveling north to Perth from Collie when their blue Holden Commodore ran out out of fuel near Mandjoogoordap Road at Stake Hill.

Ms Storm-Somerville was fatally struck by a red Mitsubishi Outlander after she got out of the Commodore, which was sitting in the emergency shoulder.
It is understood the two friends were waving other cars down for help on the northbound carriageway of the freeway.
The second woman, in her 20s, who is believed to have been a passenger, was taken by St John WA services to Rockingham Hospital for observation.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was uninjured.
Powerful tributes flooded onto social media for the ‘angelic’ Ms Storm-Somerville as loved ones started a GoFundMe page.
Organiser Storm Mclarty described Ms Storm-Somerville as a person full of ‘warmth’ and a ‘free spirit’.
‘People felt good in her company and she naturally stole your heart, young or old, any gender, any race, you could not avoid being drawn by her magnetic energy,’ Ms Mclarty wrote.
‘May angels walk beside us all as we lay our precious angel Ebony Storm to rest.’
Another friend wrote that Ms Storm-Somerville was ‘my beautiful best mate’.

‘You were somebody to everybody you encountered in your short beautiful life,’ she added.
A man wrote her sudden death had affected him deeply, leaving him full of uncertainty.
‘I’ll admit I don’t know what to do. You were there and now you’re not. I don’t know what to say or do.’
‘Fly high our beautiful sister,’ wrote another.
Another added ‘just think about the fun times mate it’s all we can do.’
The GoFundMe was set up on Sunday morning to help pay for Ms Storm-Somerville’s funeral and wake.
It has a target of $15,000 and had yet to raise its first $1,000 by Sunday afternoon.
Major crash investigators urged anyone who saw the horror accident or the female pedestrian in the area to contact Crimestoppers.
Main Roads WA said people who break down on the freeway should stay inside their vehicles where possible with their seatbelt on and hazard lights flashing.
