How does Brad Pitt maintain his youthful looks?

The secret to Brad Pitt’s eternally youthful looks may be down to post-divorce ‘tweakments’ since his split from Angelina Jolie, an expert has suggested.

Laura Kay, cosmetics specialist and founder of Laura Kay London, told FEMAIL the Oscar Award-winning actor’s young appearance can be explained by a combination of a good skin maintenance programme, plus a few procedures here and there.

Hollywood heartthrob Pitt, 59, set tongues wagging this weekend after he was spotted on set in France looking barely a day older than when he made his name in titles such as Fight Club.

Pitt appeared in a white shirt and beige trousers in a vineyard in the Var region of the French Riviera.

He was filming a commercial for the Italian appliance brand De’Longhi, which manufactures luxury coffee and espresso machines.

After Brad Pitt, 59, stunned fans with his youthful glow during the filming of a commercial in a vineyard in France this weekend, experts have suggested how he has maintained his looks

After stunning the world with his smooth complexion and bright smile, many fans have drawn comparisons between the actor and one of his most famous roles, Benjamin Button.

The character, from 2008 film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, ages in reverse.

Pitt seemed to be in good spirits as as he smiled and chatted with crew members on the set of the commercial, in which he stars alongside Karina Beuthe, 53.

As he radiated youthful energy, Laura explained how she believes the Oscar winner has managed to age in reverse.

As well as potential subtle 'tweakments', London-based experts have suggested Pitt prioritises his skin by staying hydrated

After being blown away by his youthful apNe

After being blown away by his youthful appearance, fans likened Pitt (pictured with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in 2004) to his character Benjamin Button

Speaking to FEMAIL, she said: ‘Brad appears to have very subtly invested in some ‘tweakments’ to retain a youthful appearance.

‘He has reduced fine lines today and his skin is dewy and fresh. Therefore he may have has botox to reduce wrinkles and face peels will help to rejuvenate his skin.

‘He could also have focused on certain areas including the neck, jowls and his hairline/hair that are very noticeable signs of ageing – and with a skilled practitioner people will hardly notice the difference, yet it will look transformative.’

She added that, if Pitt has opted for a few nips and tucks, it may be related to his split from Angelina Jolie, his partner of 12 years.

The couple, who share four children, married in 2014 but separated two years later, with Jolie citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.

In light of the split, Laura explained: ‘Post divorce surgery and tweakments are officially on the rise, and it is not just a trend amongst women. Men are also booking in for botox, fillers, face peels, brow treatments and hairline work, to name a few.’

As well as cosmetic procedures, Laura suggested Pitt also takes good care of his skin with a strict maintenance routine.

‘He will also be prioritizing a skincare regime with day and night cream to help hydrate the surface layers of the skin,’ she explained.

‘Brad is sporting a bronze tan and he will be using SPF to protect his skin from UV rays. But a well as preventing risks of cancers, a good quality SPF can also prevent premature skin ageing which will reduce saggy skin, age spots and fine lines.

‘He is looking younger than ever and will be inspiring thousands of mature men.’

Nina Prisk, skin and aesthetics expert at Update Aesthetics in Harley Street, also suggested Pitt’s eternal youth was likely explained by a dedicated skincare regime as well as Botox and fillers – but he is unlikely to have had any more invasive procedures.

She said: ‘I think that the reason that celebrities such as Brad Pitt are looking more youthful now is because they are taking a more 360 approach to their looks.

By this I mean that they are taking into account lifestyle factors such as healthy diets, hydration, sun protection, and sleep, and using more effective skincare with active ingredients, and all this is in synergy with using non-surgical aesthetics such as Botox and fillers.

‘This means that they are addressing the health of their skin, their overall health which obviously impacts skin, and also using tweakments to either prevent or address the signs of ageing.

‘I think that both the improvements in skincare are a factor in people such as Brad Pitt looking younger now than they once did, combined with better knowledge about how other things can influence skin, such as nutrition, hydration, pollutants, sun damage, and so on.

‘But the biggest factor is the integration of all of these things with skincare products and injectables too.’
