Edwina Bartholomew has charmed fans on Sunrise since 2011 -moving up the ranks over the years to become the show’s news reporter in 2021.
And despite having a plum TV gig at Channel Seven, the journalist, 39, also has an impressive property portfolio with her husband, Neil Varcoe.
The couple, who have been married since 2018 and share two children together, recently snapped up a 177-year-old country hotel in rural NSW after selling their inner-west Sydney home in March for $2.1million.
Woman’s Day reports that Edwina is set to become a ‘multimillionaire’ by the end of the year and is even dreaming of renovating a property in either Italy or Spain soon.
‘Eddy is a natural at finding amazing properties with huge potential – and working her magic and making them into something very special,’ a source told the publication.

‘This is their money-making ticket out of the sometimes crazy media rat race.’
Of their plans for snapping up property overseas, the source added: ‘Eddy has big dreams one day to head to either Italy or Spain to fulfill a lifelong dream to take on an old rundown ruin and convert it into something out of this world.’

The property is located in Carcoar, 260kms west of Sydney.
In May, Edwina announced the purchase on her Instagram page.
‘In 1846, it was built on the banks of the Belubula River in Carcoar. 177 years later, on the same land, The Victoria returns to welcome a new generation of guests,’ she explained.
‘A new chapter for the town time forgot. A new full-time project for us. A new side hustle for me in addition to waking up with you every morning on @sunriseon7.
‘Reopening 2025 (with a lot of Fawlty Towers updates to come between now and then).’

Back in March, Edwina announced she and her husband Neil had secured a buyer for their renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom property in Sydney’s inner west.
She posted a photo on Instagram of the ‘for sale’ sign outside the home with a huge ‘sold’ sticker plastered on the front of it.
‘Our lovely little house is now another couple’s home. Let the next renovation adventure begin (again),’ she wrote.
She previously said she did not originally plan to sell the stone brick 1880s-era house, but the couple decided to let it go after finding another renovation project.

‘We’ve found this other project that we want to take on and it feels right,’ she told Realestate.com.au.
‘I get emotional when I think about everything that’s happened in this house. It’s where we started our family. It’s such a special place that we love so much,’ she said.
The Channel Seven personality bought the home after doing a story about the area for Sunrise and formed a real ‘connection’ with the suburb.

The couple also own a historic homestead in the Greater Blue Mountains, called Warramba.
Located on 100 acres of land in Glen Alice, the three-bedroom property boasts private hillside views of the Blue Mountains.
The property sits just outside of Lithgow, roughly 225 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD.
Edwina and Neil reportedly paid $430,000 for the charming 19th century sandstone cottage in 2016 and sought the help of a school friend to redesign it the following year.
‘There’s a few snakes and frogs in the loo but otherwise [we’re] on time and under budget!’ she previously told Daily Mail Australia of the renovation process.
The couple tied the knot on the property in 2018 and went on to list it on Airbnb.
