Melbourne music fan reveals how much they spent to see A-list artists

Melbourne music fan reveals how much money they spent to see A-list artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, and Ed Sheeran – and you won’t believe which concert cost the most

An Australian influencer has shared how much they paid to see their favourite musicians perform in Melbourne – and which was the most expensive show to date.

The TikTok account Hol.Men revealed some of the popular artists they’ve seen perform in Melbourne in recent years and how much the tickets cost.

In a montage video, they showed how they scored a bargain by seeing Ed Sheeran, 32, perform in Australia for the relatively low cost of $55.

They also paid $92 to see American pop star Olivia Rodrigo, 20, in concert and paid $155 to see Elton John, 76, belt out his hits on the stage.

On the pricier end, a ticket to English pop star Dua Lipa, 27, set them back $262 and a ticket to K-pop girl group Blackpink cost a jaw-dropping $353.

However, the two most expensive shows they have been to so far were to see Lady Gaga and The Rolling Stones perform.

The Lady Gaga tickets set them back $455 and it cost them $473 to see Mick Jagger and his band belt out The Rolling Stones’ iconic hits.

The influencer joked that tickets to Aussie concerts would get more expensive after Taylor Swift performed in Australia in February.

‘This will just get worse after the Eras Tour, I fear,’ they wrote next to their video.

It didn’t take long for many of the influencer’s fans to express their shock over the huge difference in ticket prices to see world-famous musos perform.

‘I love Ed Sheeran for keeping the tickets affordable for his fans,’ one person gushed.

‘Hundreds of dollars to see some people lip sync for hours is crazy,’ another fan sniped.

Meanwhile, one fan added the listed prices paled in comparison to the $680 they paid to see English pop star Adele perform.
