Kerry Packer’s World Series entertaining home for sale

This is the stunning home where media tycoon Kerry Packer entertained Australia’s top cricketers to celebrate his World Series revolution.

The property in Pymble in Sydney’s north is set to go under the hammer 40 years after Packer and some of the nation’s sporting legends let their hair down throughout the short-lived series.

In 1977, international cricket was shaken to the core after it was revealed Packer had signed dozens of the world’s best players for a rival tournament.

‘They were all here… Kerry, Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh, Greg, Ian and Trevor Chappell, Jeff Thompson,’ current owner Malcolm Carver told Domain.
