Heather Watson crashes out of Wimbledon in first round after 2-5, 7-5 defeat to Barbora Krejcikova 

Britain’s Heather Watson has crashed out of Wimbledon in the first round at the hands of Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova. 

In the first set, Watson fell to a 2-6 defeat as she was outplayed by her opponent but the second set saw her improve.

Krejcikova was unable to dominate as she did from the start, with Watson on the frontfoot.

With the Czech Republic tennis star seeing an injury scare, she returned to the court with her ankle heavily strapped as Watson sense blood.

However, she was unable to take advantage and fell to defeat in the first round.
