Woody Cook reveals he was ‘nicked by security’ at dad Fatboy Slim’s Glastonbury set

‘It was quite aggressive’: Woody Cook reveals he was ‘nicked by security’ at dad Fatboy Slim’s Glastonbury set after ‘hammered’ star tried crowd surfing on an inflatable bed

Woody Cook has revealed he got ‘nicked by security’ while watching dad Fatboy Slim’s Glastonbury set.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star, 22 – who is the son of the legendary DJ and Zoe Ball, confessed he was ‘pretty hammered’ during the show and attempted to crowd surf on an inflatable mattress.

The move didn’t go down well with security, with Woody telling The Sun: ‘I realised I was getting nicked.

‘The security man was trying to drag me off quite aggressively. I was definitely pretty hammered by that point.

‘Then the same security guard who was dragging me off then was asking for a photo, it was very surreal.’

After explaining that he was related to the performer, Woody was able to get away from security and returned to the gig at the Park Stage where he promptly set off a smoke grenade.

Woody was no doubt keen to let off some steam after performing himself at the festival, doing a DJ set at Gorilla Bar.

The DJ recently told MailOnline that he seeks a ‘much more balanced’ approach to partying than his parents did in their early days.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Woody revealed that his parents – who split up in 2016 after 18 years together – ‘definitely taught me that actions have consequences’.

He said: ‘For them – they were obviously big party people and it’s kind of caught up with them. So now, they like gardening and stuff like that.

‘But I love going into the woods and building stuff and I’m doing that now – not just at 50!

‘I think I have a healthy balance of going out and keeping things chilled. Which maybe they didn’t have so much when they were my age.’

He previously told Attitude Magazine about his musical interests and said that despite exploring his own genres independently his taste is similar to his dad’s.

He explained: ‘For me, my journey of music’s been interesting, ’cause everyone goes ‘Oh, so you get that from your dad?’,’ ‘I’m like, ‘No?!’ By the time my dad comes home from tour, what’s he gonna do, listen to music? No!

‘So, I think all my music’s been my own musical journey, but then I end up liking the same thing as him. It’s just one of those funny things. It’s about going to loads of different sources.

‘Even the other day I was looking at some of the playlists Spotify make… the Spotify algorithm’s banging. If you like a song, press radio of that song and it’ll find other ones like it.’
