Haute girl: Olivia Rodrigo has landed her dream cover. The singer, 20, has appeared on the top of Vogue magazine’s August 2023 issue, which hits newsstands on July 18. The beauty looked chic as she modeled fall fashion like a silver party dress and mini skirts
The star is best known for her album Sour which was a blockbuster and Grammy winning.
The album has been streamed more than 40 billion times globally.
‘That girl feels like a different person,’ Rodrigo said of the teen who wrote Sour. ‘I look back at her and I think, “Aw. She did well.” I think she’d be really happy with who she is.’
The red carpet fixture was asked in the interview if she is single.
The writer shared, ‘She makes a so-so gesture with her hand and says, cheerfully, “I don’t know!” Then she laughs, perhaps knowing this next part isn’t exactly true: “I don’t kiss and tell.”‘
So there is no answer.
Olivia then said, ‘It’s an interesting thing to think about.’ She was referring to all the attention to her love life.
‘I understand it. I could sit here and be like, “I don’t get why people do that,” but I do it so often.’
It might be because she wrote heavily about her love life and heartbreak in her last album, Sour.
Only 20! She was promoting her new album Guts, which will be released on September 8. The performer also touched on her love life as she revealed if she is single or not. And she also discussed whether or not she wants children one day
She also named her celebrity crush: Bruce Springsteen, who is 73. She said she grew up on his music.
And the brunette explained that she started singing at a young age because it was her passion.
‘I would get a microphone from the Dollar Tree and make up songs about being lost in the grocery store,’ Rodrigo said. ‘I was always singing. I was always super motivated to do things.’
Fame came early.
‘I remember when I was 13, and they were asking me what I wanted my brand to be, and I was just like, “I don’t even know what I want to wear tomorrow.”‘
Aw shucks: The red carpet fixture is asked in the interview if she is single. The writer says, ‘She makes a so-so gesture with her hand and says, cheerfully, ‘I don’t know!’ Then she laughs, perhaps knowing this next part isn’t exactly true: ‘I don’t kiss and tell.” So there is no answer
Now she works all the time.
And she told Vogue her routine. ‘I wake up and make my little matcha and I make bacon for myself, and then I sit at the piano and try to write something, even if it’s sh*t,’ she said,
Her best work came from pain, however.
‘I think I believed in these false ideas for a little while,’ she says. ‘The most painful moment of my life turned into my most successful.’
