MasterChef Australia fans are left in distress after eagle-eyed viewers notice fan favourite absence
MasterChef Australia fans have been left distressed after noticing the absence of a fan favourite.
On Wednesday, a promotional image was released featuring Cath Collins, Brent Draper, Theo Loizou and Declan Cleary, with Rhiannon Anderson noticeably missing.
It was enough to send fans into a spin. ‘What to happen to Ri? Did I miss something?’ asked one puzzled fan.
‘Why isn’t Rhiannon cooking?’ added another.
It was later revealed that the Queenslander, 46, missed the filming of the show due to illness.

‘Unfortunately Rhiannon isn’t feeling well today so she won’t be joining us,’ announced judge Melissa Leong during the evening’s episode.
‘Which sadly also means she’s out of running for the immunity challenge tomorrow,’ she continued.
It comes after Rhiannon is tipped to make the show’s grand final.

MasterChef contestant Antonio Cruz Vaamonde, who was eliminated in June, told New Idea magazine that the fan favourite might walk away as this year’s winner.
‘They are all amazing, so I know that any one of them can actually make it,’ he told the publication.
‘[But] I would love to see Declan or Rhiannon [in the final two],’ the Venezuelan-born chef revealed.’
The MasterChef finale, meanwhile, is expected to take place later this month.
