Astonishing video showing a ‘fake’ influencer pretending to pick up rubbish on a beach before leaving two bags of trash on the sand has caused outrage online.

The clip captioned ‘How to care for the environment’ was uploaded to TikTok on Thursday and has racked up more than 1.5million views.

The footage shows a blonde woman crouching down to pick up rubbish and placing it in black garbage bags while a second woman films her.

However, the good deed appears to be all for the camera – as the influencer then puts both the bags down and walks away.

An influencer has been slammed online after being filmed pretending to pick up rubbish on an Aussie beach before leaving the two bags of rubbish on the sand (pictured)

A witness yells out to the women: ‘Hey, you’ve left the bags there… You were doing all this weird s**t with the bags like pretending to clean up the rubbish and I’ve been watching you.’

The two women ignore her remarks and continue to walk away.

The video was filmed on a beach in Australia.

Radio host Deanna Carbone was wrongly linked to the video and posted online to deny she was the influencer in the clip.

‘In case you missed it, I’ve been at the head of a social media attack because somebody, somewhere decided that a video of a girl leaving a bag of rubbish on the beach was me,’ Ms Carbone wrote on Instagram.

‘I don’t make that kind of “influencer” content, and never have!

‘Myself, and my radio show and colleagues and my business and team have NOTHING to do with this.

‘Please share this video around, stop trolling me and my colleagues and be kind to each other.’

The man who posted the video, @thesocialjokr, also said that the death threats and level of hate in the comments section of the video were ‘unhinged’.

‘At the end of the day what these people did in the video is very wrong and everyone has every right to be angry and outraged about it, I think it’s outrageous and completely unacceptable,’ he said.

‘Me personally… I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and pray that they are just uneducated and unaware of the repercussions of their actions.’

He added that there was no ‘zero’ proof to suggest it was Ms Carbone in the video and feels bad that she was wrongly targeted by online trolls.
