Desperate search launched for missing woman, 20, believed to have wandered 350km away from home

Queensland police are seeking ‘urgent’ help from the public to locate a missing woman after an ‘out of character’ disappearance.
Kayla Preston-Yasserie, 20, was last seen by a friend on Wednesday, with family and police holding concerns for her welfare.
While she usually resided in Mackay, police believe she may have travelled to Townsville and could be located in the area.

Police said Ms Preston-Yasserie may have travelled to Townsville
‘Police are appealing for Kayla, or anyone with information regarding her whereabouts, to contact them,’ a police spokesman said.
Residents of both towns have been asked to keep an eye out for Kayla, with her disappearance labelled ‘out-of-character’.
She is described as being 160cm tall, with long dark hair, a slim build and medium complexion.
