Saturday Kitchen presenter Matt Tebbutt fights back tears after receiving an emotional text live on air
Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt became emotional live on air after he received a text.
The show ran a segment on Marcus Wareing’s Eton Mess then returned to the live studio where viewers could see Matt holding his phone.
The 49-year-old fought back tears as he said: ‘Thanks for that Marcus, that was all well and good.
‘I loved your Eton Mess but, to be honest, I have just had a text from my daughter. Proud dad moment, she got a First from university!’
Matt and his wife Lisa have two children, Jessie and Henry. The family lives in Monmouthshire, Wales.

The studio roared into applause in congratulations to Jessie, including the show’s guest Anita Rani from Strictly and Countryfile.
Matt thanked all of those who clapped and cheered before swiftly apologising for ‘taking over TV for my own gain, let’s get back to the script’.
The father-of-two kept smiling throughout the next segment of the show, clearly overwhelmed by the amazing news.
This moment was not the only emotional portion of the programme.
Earlier in the show, London based chef, Imad Alarnab shared his story about coming to the United Kingdom as a Syrian refugee.
Imad had a successful career in Syria however only six days after war broke out, he lost everything.
He then came to the UK with his wife and children with only twenty pounds, turned his life around and now owns another successful restaurant in London.
