Laura Woods has revealed how she  received  a ‘couple of offers’ after leaving TalkSPORT, but confirmed she is yet to sign anything.

The presenter gave an emotional final show last month and was brought to tears by a poem read by a fan.

It ended three years at TalkSPORT in a role that saw the 36-year-old win multiple awards for her coverage, including Best Speech Breakfast Show at the ARIAS in 2021.

Woods has been heavily linked with a presenting role at the newly launched TNT Sports- the rebrand of BT Sport – ahead of the new season.

She is expected to take over from Jake Humphrey after he announced that he will be leaving his role as the main anchor at the channel, but is yet to complete a deal.

‘I’ve seen a lot of articles, but I haven’t signed anything,’ Woods told the Sun.

‘There are a couple of offers, but I’ve got a glorious month off now where I can sit down and start planning the next things.’

Despite the speculation over her future, Woods is keen to enjoy a break from work, as she added: ‘I don’t want to rush into anything, I’ve never been able to have that privilege in my life before. Never.

‘I have always been 100 miles per hour in my career. I used to have this work ethic of taking absolutely everything, because I knew that it would teach me something.

‘I didn’t care what it was, I would do it, and it was brilliant. It definitely got me where I am now.’

‘But now, I have earned the right to take a step back and think: “What is right for me next?”’

While her role at TNT is not yet confirmed, the broadcaster do see her as the ideal replacement for Humphrey, who has led their football coverage for a decade.

She will next be in action with ITV, presenting their coverage of the upcoming Women’s World Cup.
