Mum and her two adult sons bizarrely go missing in a damaged Rav 4 as cops reveal they have ‘no access to money or phones’

  • Hope Finesse and sons Ben and Sam are missing
  • They were last seen in Ngunnawal, ACT, at 7.30pm Sunday 

A desperate search is underway to find a mother and her two adult sons after they mysteriously vanished in a damaged Rav 4 with no access to money or phones. 

Hope Finesse, 49, and her sons, Ben Mackonis, 22, and Sam Mackonis, 19, were last seen in Ngunnawal, 20 minutes north of Canberra, at 7.30pm on Sunday. 

ACT Police said the trio do not have access to mobile phones or money and are believed to be travelling in a Silver Toyota Rav 4 bearing registration YGL 25N. 

The vehicle has significant hail damage.

‘The Rav4 was last seen driving at the intersection of Kuringa Drive and the Barton Highway and may have been heading towards the Brindabellas,’ ACT Police said.

‘Police and their family hold serious concerns for their welfare and are urgently requesting the public’s assistance in locating them or their vehicle.’

Anyone who may have any information that could assist police in locating Hope, Ben and Sam is urged to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444.
