Andy Lee reveals how he really feels about missing out on a Gold Logie nomination to his co-host Hamish Blake: ‘It’s a huge oversight’

His co-star and best mate Hamish Blake has once again been nominated for a Gold Logie after nabbing the coveted award last year.

And Andy Lee has revealed how he really feels about being overlooked for the top prize.

The funnyman, who rose to fame thanks to the pair’s radio show Hamish & Andy back in 2006, joked that there must have been a mix-up when it came to the nominations.

‘It’s a huge oversight,’ Andy said during an interview on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday.

‘I think what’s happened is that people continually confuse Hamish and myself.

‘I get called Hamish in the street, he gets called Andy, and I think they accidentally got the wrong person again.’

Other celebrities in the running for the Gold Logie include Big Brother’s Sonia Kruger, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Julia Morris and The Bachelor’s Osher Günsberg.

The category also features Leigh Sales from ABC’s 730 Report, Mark Coles Smith from Mystery Road: Origin and Shaun Micallef from Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell.

Hamish and Andy have been working together since forming a comedy duo in 2003.

Seven confirmed the Logies will be held in Sydney this year for the first time since 1986.

The awards show has been held on the Gold Coast since 2018 with support from the Queensland government, but that deal ended in 2022.

The ceremony will be broadcast by Seven network on July 30.
