Aldi announces big change to the frozen section across Australian stores

Aldi has announced a ‘massive’ environmentally-friendly change set to impact stores across Australia in the coming months.
The budget supermarket chain revealed that it is replacing the glass chest freezers in favour of chiller doors in the refrigerated sections.
This change is to make Aldi’s frozen food section more visible without customers having to sort through piles of boxes.
While only selected stores in New South Wales have been updated, Aldi is expanding its trial of from late September to an additional 15 stores across Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia.
Daily Mail Australia understands that each trial store has recorded an energy saving in refrigeration usage of approximately 30 per cent.

The news comes after Aldi announced a new range of ready-made delicious meals and sides from just $1.99.
The retail giant’s newly-dropped range of ‘hearty’ no-fuss dinners will be available for a limited time over winter.
Shoppers can treat themselves to tasty dishes including $1.99 pho bowls, a $6.99 chicken parmi and lobster bisque pots for $9.99.

Returning to Aldi shelves in the World Kitchen chicken and bacon mac and cheese bake for $9.99 while the $6.99 Big Feed chicken pasta bake can be thrown in the oven and ready in minutes.
Urban Eats pho bowls are just $1.99 each and come in chicken or vegetable flavours with a blend of spices and noodles.
Aldi shopping expert Kylie Warnke said the new limited time only range features a month’s worth of family-friendly meal options.
‘The new range includes even more readymade winter warmer meals, luxurious treats and fake-away dinners for the family to enjoy at home – but most importantly, shoppers won’t break the bank to enjoy them,’ she said.
