‘While our decision to end our marriage is undoubtedly a significant one, we are each committed to maintaining our friendship and supporting each other as we enter this new phase of our respective lives.
‘We emphasize our shared values of respect, understanding, and kindness, which have guided our decision-making process.
‘We hold each other in high regard and intend to approach our separation with the utmost dignity and care.
‘Although we will no longer be husband and wife, we look forward to remaining close friends and supporting each other’s personal and professional endeavors.
‘Ariana and I kindly request privacy and understanding from the media and the public during this transitional period.
‘We understand the interest in our lives but hope that our decision to part ways amicably will be respected.’
TMZ reported Dubelko filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court on Monday and gave ‘irreconcilable differences’ as an explanation.
The veteran right-hander inked a one-year $10.4million contract earlier this year
The outlet did report a representative for Giolito said the decision was ‘mutual’ but there’s no joint filing in California.
Dubelko, who graduated from veterinary school last year, is also seeking spousal support from the veteran right-hander and 2019 All-Star who inked a one-year $10.4million contract in January.
The couple did not have any children together.
