Emmerdale fans slam ‘pathetic’ storyline as Clemmie Reed is found seconds away from home despite the police calling in a helicopter
Emmerdale fans slammed Thursday night’s ‘pathetic’ storyline which saw Clemmie Reed being found just seconds away from home after going missing.
During the episode, the youngster fled the house in the middle of the night after discovering that her adoptive parents Dawn and Billy Fletcher were expecting a child together.
As the mammoth search got underway in the village, the police were forced to call in a helicopter when Clemmie was still missing.
Upon hearing the commotion, Nicky Miligan set out to find out what was going on, only to be stopped by a voice shouting his name from his garden.
Clemmie had been hiding out in Nicky’s garden, metres away from where the police has been looking, and it did not go unnoticed by fans at home.

‘The village people didn’t look hard enough if she was right around the corner,’ another added.
A third fan wrote: ‘They are all out looking for her and an helicopter and Nickeh finds her immediately.’
Someone else complained: ‘They have the entire police force looking for 1 child in a village that small and she’s round the side of a house?? Are the writers for real? That has to be a mistake otherwise it’s just pathetic writing.’
Another agreed: ‘So the girl is sat out in the open and no one has seen or heard her all night or the following day?’
Clemmie ran away from home in shocking scenes on Wednesday night’s episode of Emmerdale.
She was left distraught after discovering that Dawn Fletcher was pregnant and escaped upstairs after a violent incident.
Gabby Thomas accidentally revealed the news that Dawn was expecting as they rowed in front of Billy – leaving her upset.

Later in the episode they talked about how she was happily asleep upstairs but then the final scene before the credits aired begged to differ.
Clemmie immediately feared the worst when she heard the news, worrying that she’ll be pushed out of the family once the new baby arrives.
In an uncharacteristic outburst, Clemmie then pushed a dining stool into Dawn’s stomach, causing her to collapse.
Billy watched on in horror and arranged for Dawn to be rushed to A&E for a check-up.
While she was fine – at the end of the episode viewers saw her unlock the front door and then run away.
