Liverpool remain locked in talks with Al-Ittihad after Saudi club’s £40m Fabinho bid, with the Brazilian excluded from Reds’ pre-season tour
Liverpool are locked in talks with Al Ittihad after they made a £40m bid for Fabinho who was left off the club’s pre-season tour on Saturday.
This comes after it was revealed that the two sides were ‘discussing key details’ ahead of the Brazilian’s potential move this summer.
An official bid of £40million was submitted for the 29-year-old as it appeared that he would be heading to Saudi Arabia this summer.
However, Liverpool and Al Ittihad are now locked in talks over the fee.
It remains to be seen as to whether a deal can be agree this summer, but with Jurgen Klopp leaving Fabinho out of his 32-man pre-season squad, it is clear his future is in doubt.

With Jordan Henderson also heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, it is unlikely that Liverpool would allow both players to leave.
Especially considering that the Reds have already lost James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita from last season.
Alexis Mac Allister has already arrived this summer to reinforce their midfield, while there have been reports linking the Reds to Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone and Kephren Thuram.
While £40million would add to Klopp’s transfer budget this summer, it remains to be seen as to whether a deal can be struck this transfer window.
