Bec Hewitt has ‘meltdown’ at Oaks Day

She was seen engaging in a very animated conversation with a fellow racegoer during Oaks Day earlier this month.

And now a magazine has alleged Bec Hewitt’s mood deteriorated quickly after she suffered a ‘meltdown’ in The Birdcage bathroom.

On Monday, Woman’s Day claimed the 34-year-old actress was seen looking ‘visibly distressed’ by onlookers and ‘acting erratically’.

‘She was doing the best to contain her emotions, but she couldn’t hide the fact she was upset,’ an onlooker said of the former Home And Away star.

‘A friend has to step in and console her,’ they added.

Earlier Bec was seen to be getting very animated with a fellow racegoer during the festivities.

It appeared that raising her voice wasn’t enough, with Bec resorting to exaggerated hand gestures to get her point across.

With a furrowed brow, Bec appeared frustrated during the exuberant conversation as her pal leaned in closer to hear her.

Her appearance at Oaks Day came after she also made a bold statement at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday with husband Lleyton Hewitt.

Bec had swamped her figure in a baggy black pantsuit, clashing with husband Lleyton’s mismatched ensemble.

Bec arrived hand-in-hand with her tennis star husband Lleyton, 36.

The retired tennis player sported a mismatched ensemble, consisting of a crisp white dress shirt and grey suit jacket with a black trim.

Bec and Lleyton wed in a lavish ceremony in Sydney back in 2005.

The high-profile couple are proud parents to three children, daughters Mia, 11, Ava, seven, and son Cruz, eight.

They have long been the subject of split rumours, with Woman’s Day reporting last month that the pair are ‘leading separate lives.’

However, a representative for the duo, told Daily Mail Australia last month: ‘The Woman’s Day article is a complete fabrication and has no basis in truth.’
