Drake catches his own poetry book thrown at him by a fan during his San Francisco concert: ‘You’re lucky I’m quick… I would have had to beat your a** if it hit me in the face’

While Drake is usually no stranger to having objects thrown towards him on stage during his It’s All a Blur tour, the singer experienced a first over the weekend: having his own book thrown at his face, including a massive bra thrown by his father as a joke.

The 36-year-old Canadian singer was taking a break between songs and addressing his fans, when someone threw a copy of his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything.

He was telling the fans that ‘it means the world’ to him when the book was thrown, but the singer showed off some very quick reflexes by catching the book.

Drake then pointed at the fan who threw it, and delivered a warning to that person in the crowd.

‘You’re lucky I’m quick. I would have had to beat your a** if that hit me in the face,’ the singer said while tossing the book idly on the stage.

It seems to have been one of the themes of his tour, with the singer examining and talking about the various bras thrown on stage during the tour.

His father Dennis Graham poked some fun at his son’s expense, having a massive pink bra made up and thrown on stage, which threw his son for quite the loop.

The Toronto native held up the supersized undergarment, joking that it may have put an end to the ongoing bra-throwing contest that’s taken place throughout his tour.

‘This might be the end of the saga right here. This might be the end of the road,’ he said to the audience.

‘I don’t know if I even wanna see it, ’cause then I’ll believe that aliens exist,’ he joked about the bra, before realizing it was a gag.

Moments later, the hitmaker was told the piece was a gag gift and he read its accompanying note aloud.

‘Oh this is from my dad? Oh this is from my father, my father made this for me,’ Drake revealed to concertgoers.

Reading the message, he said: ‘Dad’s wishing ‘BIG’ things for you. I love you and making sure you’re breastfed correctly!’

He then rhetorically asked, ‘What’s wrong with this man?’

The bustiere boasted ruffle trim and small floral accoutrements sewn onto its cups.

Graham had the piece specially made by Toronto-based designer Zoba Martin, who later shared the creative process on her Instagram.

She wrote to her 12,000 followers, ‘The most [gigantic] bra gifted to @champagnepapi by his dad, @therealdennisg.’

Posting a brief video clip stitched with footage of Drake holding the bra during his show, she added, ‘I couldn’t keep a straight face while making this #itsallablur #itsallablurtour #iaab #bra #allsizesmatter #zobamartin.’

Dennis expressed gratitude in the comments as he wrote, ‘Thank you so much,’ with a prayer hands emoji. ‘Great job.’
