Love Island star Amy Day rushed to hospital on Tuesday after suffering a gruesome injury.

The TV personality, 27, shared her ordeal with her 99,000 Instagram followers, uploading snaps from her last minute dash.

She first uploaded a picture of her studded black heels, writing: ‘Perfect A&E footwear. Just perfect.’

Still in good spirits despite the ordeal, she quipped: ‘Who wants to write on it?’

Shocking: Love Island star Amy Day has revealed she was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after suffering a gruesome injury

Amy found fame on season seven of Love Island, entering the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell in 2021.

She coupled up with Hugo Hammond and while things appeared to be going well between the pair, he later branded his journey ‘tragic’.

Amy confronted the PE teacher about his remarks shortly after leaving the villa, with Amy branding Hugo ‘fake’ for ‘friend-zoning’ her, while Hugo accused Amy of using him as a ‘green card into the villa’.

In scenes filmed just days after their villa exit, Amy lambasted Hugo for his behaviour, saying: ‘It’s the Hugo show, that’s all it is,’ and adding: ‘I think we need to clear up a few things because I feel like I had my time wasted a little bit, staying with you.’

The bombshell continued: ‘I thought there was something there. We leave the villa, and you just flipped and friend-zoned me. You’ve come across quite fake now.’

Hugo was quick to fire back: ‘I completely disagree with you on that front,’ with Amy quipping: ‘Course you do.’

Attempting to explain himself, Hugo continued: ‘We had the chat in there about how we had come to a cross road on our journey and I think that was clear to both of us but apparently not.’

Taken back, Amy responded: ‘I wasn’t part of that conversation. That was massively lost in communication.

‘I never had a conversation with you where it was, ”we would go this way or we would go this way”. It was, ”let’s stop having the pressure on us”.’

At that moment, Hugo started laughing, much to Amy’s dismay.

‘You’re so patronising,’ she said, adding: ‘Why are you laughing? This isn’t funny.’

Hugo later took the opportunity to discuss the ‘tragic’ comment he made.

Clearing things up, Hugo explained on ITV’s Lorraine: ‘That was more of a reflection of my journey in there. Obviously I’d been there for so long.

‘I’d tried it with quite a few girls and then some bombshells came in for me and didn’t work out, so that wasn’t a reflection of Ames herself but more a reflection of me and my journey, and what I’d been through in there.’
