Riverwood: Two bodies are discovered at a home in Sydney’s west as detectives swarm the property

The bodies of a man and woman have been discovered at a property, sparking a police investigation.

Officers were called to a home on Union Street at Riverwood in Sydney’s south at about 2pm on Sunday.

They first found a man’s body inside a truck that was parked in the driveway.

A woman’s body was then located inside the single-level home.

Both are believed to be aged in their seventies.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are underway.

St George detectives are heading the investigation and are being assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad. 

A police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that detectives were looking into whether the incident was domestic-violence related.

There are no other suspects. 

Union Street was cordoned off between Coleridge Street and Pennsylvania Road during the investigation on Sunday afternoon.
