The MP was rushed to hospital in an ambulance just minutes later.
Prior to the incident, Ms White said Minister for Health & Ambulance Services Jill Hennessy had ordered other senators to be respectful after ‘after opposers call supporters Nazi’s in the chamber.’
The marathon debate will resume at 11am.
The Upper House members will decide whether to continue or adjourn the debate when they meet in the chamber at 11am.
