Cops dressed in orange suits bust meth labs seize drugs 

Police have smashed an alleged organised crime syndicate, seizing cash and drugs in a series of raids on secret meth labs.

Detectives from Strike Force Cower shut down three clandestine drug labs located in Sydney’s west and arrested three men and a woman during the operation.

Specialist police wearing orange boiler suits and Fire and Rescue officers were called in to search the three drug laboratories and a small hydroponics set-up.

After arresting a 37-year-old Bankstown man in Liverpool on Thursday afternoon detectives executed seven search warrants across the city’s western suburbs.

Police then raided homes in Bankstown, Bonnyrigg, Cabramatta, Canley Heights, Green Valley, Mt Pritchard, and Parramatta.

Along with ice, ephedrine, amphetamine, cannabis, LSD, ice, and heroin, police allegedly seized 27 cannabis plants, ammunition, electronic equipment and mobile phones.

They allegedly found precursors, glassware and other items used to manufacture the illegal drug ice, as will as various liquid which will undergo testing.

Over $57,000 in cash was allegedly found in metal boxes and bags, as well as $3800 in US dollars.

He was refused bail and will appear at Liverpool Local Court on Friday.

The 29-year-old was charged with two counts of manufacture prohibited drug, seven counts of drug supply, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, along with three firearms charges.

The 31-year-old woman was charged with two counts of manufacture prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

They were refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court on Friday.

The 23-year-old man was charged with two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, take part in manufacture of prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

He was granted strict conditional bail and will face Liverpool Local Court on December 11.
