Passengers at a Bronx subway station were caught on camera beating up a drunk after he attacked a mother in front of her three children.
Witnesses said that the victim was with her kids, aged one, four and eight, on the southbound 6 train at around 7.15pm on Thursday, when Ramel Jefferson began threatening her with a bottle in an unprovoked attack.
The 29-year-old attempted to flee with her children when the train stopped at Hunts Point Ave. station, but Jefferson, 58, of Williamsbridge, in the Bronx, had reportedly followed her off the train and attacked her, theNew York Daily News reports.

Jefferson, who was drunk, punched the mother in the face, pushed her onto a bench and dragged her by her hair, according to police.
The violent assault only stopped when horrified fellow commuters intervened to rescue the terrified family.

Jefferson was eventually charged with resisting arrest, assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child .

The victim, who has not been named, suffered lacerations to her face and pain in her shoulder, but refused medical attention.
Jefferson was taken to Lincoln Hospital for a swollen lip.
