Woman is found dead ‘bound and gagged’ in north London

  • Police were called to a house in Hill Road in Muswell Hill at 7.03pm on Thursday
  • An ambulance crew also attended, but the woman was found dead at the scene

A murder probe has been launched after the body of a woman was found ‘bound and gagged in a suspected robbery gone wrong’ at a home in London.

Police were called to a home in Hill Road, in Muswell Hill, north London at 7.03pm on Friday night to concerns for the wellbeing of a resident at the address.

An ambulance crew also attended, but the woman was found dead at the scene.

According to The Sun, the woman was found bound and gagged in what could be a robbery gone wrong.  

No arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ‘The body of a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was found inside the property.

‘Although we believe we know the identity of the deceased, we await formal identification.

‘A post-mortem examination will commence at Haringey Mortuary on Saturday, 18 November.

‘At this early stage, the death is being treated as suspicious. Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.’
