Former UFC lightweight champion Jamahal Hill was arrested this week in Michigan for reportedly assaulting his brother.
According to TMZ Sports, the 32-year-old was charged on Monday with one count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence.
According to court documents, officials allege that he assaulted his brother James Anthony Hill Jr and inflicted ‘serious or aggravated injury upon him.’
Hill, who held the UFC lightweight title for just six months before vacating it due to injury in July, was booked at a Kent County jail at around 1am before being released later that evening at 7:35pm.
Prosecutors formally charged him with misdemeanor aggravate domestic violence on that same day.
The publication adds that he is due in court on January for a hearing.
