Burnley have announced a new docuseries which will be coming soon to streaming platform Peacock.
The series, titled ‘Mission to Burnley,’ was promoted on the team’s official X account on Friday as a 40-second trailer was posted.
The news comes after NFL icon JJ Watt and his wife, former USWNT forward Kealia, invested in the team in the spring.
The couple was not featured in the trailer, though there appears to be a reference to them – or chairman and fellow American Alan Pace – in the clip.
‘I don’t think these Americans understand Burnley,’ an unseen fan says.

Burnley received a minority investment from J.J. Watt and his wife Kealia in the spring
The video shows footage of Burnley’s 2022 relegation from the Premier League, manager Vincent Kompany’s training sessions and a glimpse into the team’s return to the top flight.
The clip ends with Kompany on camera saying, ‘When you’re down and people say you’re not good enough – trust that we’ll finish on top.’
Of course, the show comes on the heels of the wildly successful FX show ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, which chronicled the team after it was bought by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. A second season of ‘Wrexham’ came out this fall.
J.J. and Kealia previously admitted to being inspired by Reynolds and McElhenney’s (so far) successful ownership of Wrexham, as the side was promoted to League 2 last season.
‘We watched the documentary on and it was so cool to see what they’ve done,’ Kealia previously said on Sky Sports News. ‘That’s kind of what we are modelling this after. Wrexham is such a fun team and we have followed that.’

The trailer also shows a glimpse into the club’s journey back into the Premier League
‘I spoke to Rob about his experience and tried to gain some insight into what he’s done,’ JJ added. ‘And I’ve spoken to Ryan and tried to get his ideas about what has worked and what hasn’t.
‘Obviously it is a different league and a different situation but they have done an incredible job. Our goal is to come in and get involved in the community, to really feel like the supporters.’
The Wales-based club is second in League 2 following its promotion from the National League.
Burnley is 19th in the Premier League through 15 games, with just two wins.
