Can you guess Lorde’s bizarre pre-show ritual?

She’s the New-Zealand born singer who rose to international fame with the release of her debut single Royals in 2013.

But since her unprecedented international success, it’s now been revealed that Lorde has a bizarre pre-show ritual that hypes her up for her stellar live performances.

Ahead of her two sell-out Sydney shows on Tuesday and Wednesday, Confidential revealed that the 21-year-old went shopping after arriving in the city.

Good Lorde! The Kiwi pop powerhouse musician has a BIZARRE pre-show ritual to calm her nerves… and you’ll never guess what it is!

The publication reports that Lorde – real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor – spent Monday asking her devoted fans for store recommendations and checking out vintage shops around the city and its inner west suburbs.

Lorde was in town to promote her latest album ‘Melodrama,’ with two sold out Sydney Opera House forecourt shows to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The performances will make Lorde the youngest-ever performer to play the highly-acclaimed venue, with a backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge a stunning accompaniment to her lush, almost operatic brand of art pop.

Embarking on a 63-stop world tour to promote the album, Lorde kicked off the event in her native New Zealand, with the first show being performed at the old Dunedin Town Hall on November 7.

Her first Australian show kicked off in Perth on Saturday, where she shared a selfie to her Instagram depicting her barely being able to contain her excitement.

‘Hi Australia so hyped to be dancing with u tonight,’ she captioned as she waved to the camera.
