‘She can’t walk, she can’t talk, she doesn’t eat. She’s fed through er stomach. So yeah at the moment every little cent helps,’ store manager Joanne, told 9 News.
Staff believed there was some substantial amount of money collected in the tin that the thief took, because they saw one person put a $50 note in at one time.

Because the tin had Piper’s story written on the side, they believe the man who took the tin would have been aware of the situation.
There were three collection tins in the IGA store and now Joanne said she would have to tie them to the counter.
The staff said they welcome the man to return the collection tins ‘no questions asked’.
