A picture of a pooch hiding among a bed of ferns has left internet users scratching their heads.

Dog owner Karen Fornos Klein posted the snap of her pet Ambar hiding during an autumnal walk in the Surrey woodland on Facebook – where it has quickly racked up dozens of likes and comments.

The adorable hound is cleverly camouflaged among the dead ferns and fallen autumn leaves thanks to its distinctive brown hair and markings.

But look closely and you’ll see the dog’s ears and the top of its head sticking out from behind the foliage. 

The snap, taken during an autumnal walk, was shared on Facebook group Surrey Dog Owners and quickly left social media users bamboozled as they tried to spot the pooch.

Linda Stevens commented: ‘I cannot see it at all,’ later adding: ‘Ah spotted, it was very hard!’
