FEMAIL’s five favourite Aussie Victoria’s Secret models

For more than 20 years, the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has launched modelling careers in a flurry of fancy lace, wings, and feathers.

And the lingerie giant has played a pivotal role in helping more than a few gorgeous Aussies shoot to superstardom.

On the heels of the most recent show in Shanghai, FEMAIL has taken a look at the top Australian Victoria Secret’s models of all time.

1. Miranda Kerr

The only Australian to earn the coveted Angel wings, Miranda was the first Aussie to be offered a Victoria’s Secret modelling contract

The only Australian to earn those coveted Angel wings, Miranda Kerr was also the first Aussie to be offered a Victoria’s Secret modelling contract.

Miranda, now 34, walked her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2007, and quickly saw her career take flight.

She appeared in fashion shows for Balenciaga, Prada, Dior, and Chanel, and in 2011 was chosen to present the $2.5million Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra.

The brunette took the second spot in Forbes top-earning models list in 2013, the same year she officially cut ties with the Victoria’s Secret brand.

And, in 2015, Miranda announced she was hanging up her Angel wings for good.

But the Melbourne model, of Lithuanian and Pakistani descent, was persistent and signed with Victoria’s Secret when she was just 20-years-old.

It was a major moment for the runner-up of Make Me A Supermodel, who later credited the lingerie brand for launching her career.

‘It’s always been a dream of mine and to book that significant show, it just changed my career,’ she said in August.
